Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 August 2026
1. Who we are
Red Seal Rescue Coaching is an independent exam-preparation coaching service operated by Will Nemo out of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada.
Email: redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com
Phone: 250-467-4907
Website: www.redsealrescuecoaching.ca
In these Terms, "we," "us" and "Red Seal Rescue" mean the above. "You" means the person buying or using anything on this site.
2. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply when you buy a session, subscribe to a coaching program, download a product, join the community, or otherwise use this website.
If you buy a subscription, the Refunds and Guarantee page and the Pass Guarantee terms shown at checkout form part of your contract with us. Where a specific offer's written terms conflict with these general Terms, the offer's terms govern for that offer.
3. What Red Seal Rescue is, and what it is not
Red Seal Rescue is independent coaching. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of:
- the Red Seal Program, the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA), or Employment and Social Development Canada;
- SkilledTradesBC, Apprenticeship Manitoba, Skilled Trades Ontario, Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training, or any other provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority;
- any college, union, employer or training provider, except where a written partnership is separately announced.
"Red Seal" is used descriptively to identify the certification our clients are preparing for.
We do not administer, mark, invigilate, or influence any certification exam. We do not control eligibility, exam booking, attempt limits, or results. Those are set by your provincial authority.
We do not guarantee that you will pass, except through the specific, limited Pass Guarantee attached to the Ascent program and described on the Refunds and Guarantee page. Coaching improves preparation. It does not write the exam for you.
4. What we sell
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
- Red Seal Exam Survival Kit - $27. One-time digital product, sold through Payhip.
- Pass Plan Session - $150. One-time 30-minute paid session. Non-refundable, and credited in full toward any Red Seal Rescue coaching program.
- Accelerator - $997 per month. Recurring monthly subscription.
- Ascent - $2,997 per quarter + GST. Recurring quarterly subscription, application only, carries the Pass Guarantee.
We may change prices at any time. A price change does not affect a subscription already running until its next renewal, and we will tell you before a change takes effect.
5. Booking, eligibility and application
The Pass Plan Session is booked through our scheduling page. You choose the time; we confirm by email.
Accelerator and Ascent are application only. Applying does not create a contract. We may decline anyone, and we will say so plainly rather than stringing you along.
Ascent requires an exam date already booked. For the Pass Guarantee to attach, that date must be at least 60 days after your start date. If you are writing sooner, we may still take you, but you are buying the coaching, not the guarantee, and we will tell you that in writing before you pay.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe (subscriptions and sessions) and Payhip (the Survival Kit). We do not see or store your full card number.
You authorise us to charge your payment method for the amount and on the schedule shown at checkout, including automatic renewals, until you cancel.
If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it clears.
7. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Accelerator (monthly). Accelerator renews automatically each month. You may cancel at any time, before or after a renewal date, without charge or penalty. Cancelling stops future billing. Where you cancel after a renewal has been charged, we will refund that renewal charge in accordance with applicable law.
Ascent (quarterly). Ascent renews automatically every 90 days. You may cancel at any time before a renewal date without charge or penalty. If you cancel after a renewal has been charged, you are entitled to a refund in the amount prescribed by applicable British Columbia law. Cancelling ends future billing. It does not by itself end an active Rescue Cycle, which is governed by the Pass Guarantee.
Renewal notices. Before each Ascent renewal, we will send you a written notice between 30 and 60 days in advance telling you the renewal date, that you have the right to cancel, exactly how to cancel, and that the subscription will renew if you do nothing.
How to cancel. Email redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com with the word "cancel" and the program name. We will confirm in writing. You do not have to justify the decision, sit through a retention call, or navigate a maze. One email ends it.
8. Changes to a running subscription
We will not unilaterally change the price, the cancellation terms, or the refund terms of a subscription you are already in.
Where we do change other terms, we will give you between 30 and 60 days' written notice before the change takes effect. If a change increases your obligations or reduces ours, you may cancel without penalty by telling us before it takes effect.
9. The Pass Guarantee
The Ascent program carries a Pass Guarantee, delivered as a Rescue Cycle rather than a refund. Full terms, including what "doing the work" means, are on the Refunds and Guarantee page and are shown again at checkout. Read them before you pay.
10. What we ask of you
Coaching is a two-sided contract. For any coaching program, and as a condition of the Pass Guarantee, you agree to:
- attend at least 80% of your scheduled calls;
- complete the drills assigned to you;
- write every mock exam set for you;
- sit your exam on the date agreed.
Deferring a booked exam without a documented reason ends the guarantee. Missing sessions without notice may end the program.
You also agree to give us accurate information about your trade, province, attempt history and exam date. The plan we build is only as good as what you tell us.
11. Community conduct
Access to the community, hosted on Skool, is included with coaching programs. Membership can be suspended or ended, without refund of the community portion, for harassment, sharing other members' private information, sharing exam content in breach of your provincial authority's rules, or reselling our materials.
Do not post real exam questions. Reproducing live certification exam content is a matter between you and your provincial authority, and we will remove it.
12. Our materials
Study plans, drills, mock exams, templates and recordings are licensed to you for your own exam preparation, not sold. You may not copy, resell, share, upload or republish them, and you may not use them to build a competing product.
Your licence lasts as long as your program, plus any active Rescue Cycle.
Anything you send us, including a score report, a question or a message, stays yours. You give us permission to use it to coach you. We will not publish it, or quote you by name, without your written consent.
13. Third-party services
We use ScoreApp for the readiness quiz, Calendly for booking, Stripe and Payhip for payments, HubSpot for contact records and email, Skool for the community, Squarespace for this website, and Meta platforms for Messenger and Instagram. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or their conduct.
14. Limitation of liability
We provide coaching in good faith and to a professional standard. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with your program is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or for fraud or personal injury.
15. If something goes wrong
Tell us first. Email redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com and we will try to sort it directly. If we cannot, you keep every right you have under British Columbia and Canadian law, including the right to complain to Consumer Protection BC.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes are subject to the courts of British Columbia.
Nothing here removes or limits the statutory rights of a British Columbia consumer. Where these Terms conflict with the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, the Act wins.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you buy. For a running subscription, section 8 applies. We will not change your deal mid-stream without notice and a way out.
