Refunds and the Pass Guarantee
Last updated: 31 August 2026
The short version
We do not refund coaching. The remedy here is more coaching, not less money, because a refund hands you your money back and you are still not ticketed.
That position has limits set by law, and we set them out honestly below rather than making a promise we cannot keep.
1. Where you stand, by product
Red Seal Exam Survival Kit - $27. A digital download, sold through Payhip. Because it is delivered instantly and in full, it is non-refundable once downloaded. If the file will not open or you did not receive it, email us and we will fix it or refund it.
Pass Plan Session - $150. A paid 30-minute diagnostic session. Non-refundable. The $150 is credited in full toward any Red Seal Rescue coaching program if you join. It is not a deposit and not a sales call. It is paid work, and you leave with a plan whether or not you buy anything else. If you need to move your session, tell us before it starts and we will rebook you once at no charge. Not showing up without notice uses the session.
Accelerator - $997 per month. Cancel any time, before or after a renewal, without charge or penalty. Accelerator does not carry the Pass Guarantee. Only Ascent does. We would rather say that plainly here than have you find out afterwards.
Ascent - $2,997 per quarter + GST. Cancel any time before a renewal without charge or penalty. Ascent carries the Pass Guarantee, set out in full below.
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
2. The Pass Guarantee, in full
Ascent only. Application only. You need an exam date already booked, and at least 60 days between your start date and that exam for the guarantee to attach.
If you are writing sooner than 60 days out, we may still take you, but you are buying the coaching, not the guarantee, and we will tell you so in writing before you pay.
What triggers it
You do the work, you sit the exam on the agreed date, and you do not pass.
What happens
Your billing stops, and a Rescue Cycle starts.
A Rescue Cycle is 90 days from the day your score report lands. It includes:
- a re-diagnostic against your new block-by-block results;
- a rebuilt dated plan to your retake;
- six 1:1 coaching sessions;
- two mock exams with a timing debrief;
- rebuilt drills on the blocks that moved and the blocks that did not;
- continued community access.
How many you get
One Rescue Cycle for every quarter you have paid, to a maximum of two. One quarter paid covers one retake. Two or more quarters covers two.
How to keep a cycle live
Rebook your exam within 30 days of your result, and write within the 90 days. If you do not, that cycle closes.
What "doing the work" means
All four, no exceptions:
- attend at least 80% of your scheduled calls;
- complete the assigned drills;
- write every mock exam;
- sit the exam on the date we agree.
Deferring a booked exam without a documented reason ends the guarantee.
Continuous enrolment
The guarantee attaches once your first quarter is paid, and requires your subscription to have been active continuously from your start date to your exam date.
If your province caps your attempts
Some provinces limit attempts. Alberta allows three challenge attempts; British Columbia caps trade qualifiers at four writes. If you run out of attempts before you pass, the guarantee is considered met, and we build your reinstatement file, being the Alberta training plan or the BC proof-of-upgrading package, at no charge, so you are not stuck.
After your Rescue Cycles are used
If you want to keep going, quarterly billing resumes at the rate you started on. We do not raise your price for failing.
What it is not
It is not a refund. It is not a money-back guarantee. It is not a promise that you will pass. It is a commitment that if you hold up your end and the exam still beats you, we keep working, at our cost, not yours.
3. Cancelling a subscription
Email redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com with the word "cancel" and the program name. We confirm in writing. No retention call, no form maze, no justification required.
Accelerator, monthly. Cancel at any time, before or after a renewal date, without charge or penalty.
Ascent, quarterly. Cancel at any time before a renewal without charge or penalty. If you cancel after a renewal has been charged, you are entitled to a refund in the amount prescribed by British Columbia law.
Before each Ascent renewal we send you a written notice 30 to 60 days in advance, telling you the renewal date, that you can cancel, how to cancel, and that it renews if you do nothing.
4. Your rights under British Columbia law
Our policy sits underneath the law, not on top of it. Whatever this page says, if you are a British Columbia consumer you keep the rights the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act gives you, including:
- the right to cancel a distance sales contract in the circumstances the Act sets out, including where a supplier has failed to make a required disclosure;
- the right to a refund of everything paid, within 15 days of a valid cancellation;
- the right to cancel a subscription renewal without penalty as described above.
You can also contact Consumer Protection BC directly.
If anything on this page ever conflicts with that Act, the Act wins and we will honour it.
5. Chargebacks
If something is wrong, email us first. We answer. Filing a chargeback without contacting us usually ends access to the program while it is investigated, and it slows down getting you an actual fix.
