Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. The short version

We collect the minimum we need to coach you: who you are, how to reach you, what trade you write, and where you are losing marks. We do not sell it. We do not rent it. We do not share it with other candidates. Your score report is between you and your coach.

2. Who is responsible

Red Seal Rescue Coaching, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada.

Privacy contact: Will Nemo
Email: redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com
Phone: 250-467-4907

3. What we collect

When you take the free Readiness Quiz, hosted by ScoreApp: first name, last name, email address, and your answers to the readiness questions.

When you book or buy: name, email, phone if you give it, province, trade, exam date, attempt history, and billing details. Card details go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

When you are coached: your score reports and block-by-block results, session notes, drill and mock exam results, and our correspondence with you.

When you message us on Messenger, Instagram or email: the content of those messages and your profile name.

When you visit the site: standard technical data, including IP address, browser, pages viewed and referring site, through our website host's analytics.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

4. Why we collect it

  • To build and deliver your pass plan, drills and mock exams.
  • To diagnose where you are actually losing marks. This is the whole job, and it is why we ask for score reports.
  • To schedule and run your sessions.
  • To take payment and keep the tax records the law requires.
  • To answer your questions.
  • To send you material you asked for, and, only with your consent, occasional email about coaching.

We do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.

5. Score reports and exam results

We treat your score report as confidential. It is used to build your plan and nothing else.

We will never publish it, share it with an employer, a union, a college or your provincial authority, or use it in marketing, without your specific written consent each time.

If you agree to a testimonial, you control the words and whether your name appears.

6. Consent, and taking it back

We collect your information with your consent, given when you fill in the quiz, book a session, buy a program, or message us.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. Some withdrawals end the service: we cannot coach you toward an exam if you withdraw consent to hold your exam date and results. We will tell you plainly what a withdrawal will cost you before we act on it.

7. Email, and how to stop it

Marketing email is sent under Canada's anti-spam legislation. Every marketing message identifies us, gives our contact details, and carries a working unsubscribe link that we action promptly.

Service messages, such as your session confirmation, your renewal notice and your receipt, are not marketing, and you keep getting those while you are a client.

8. Who else touches your information

We use these providers to run the business. Each one only gets what it needs.

  • Squarespace - this website and its analytics
  • ScoreApp - the free Readiness Quiz and its results
  • Calendly - session booking
  • Stripe - payments and subscriptions
  • Payhip - sale and delivery of the Survival Kit
  • HubSpot - contact records and email
  • Skool - the community platform
  • Google - email and file storage
  • Meta (Messenger, Instagram, advertising) - messages you send us, and ad delivery

We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. We disclose it outside this list only where the law requires it.

9. Where your information is stored

Most of these providers store and process data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While it is there it may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement and regulators under the laws of that country.

Canadian privacy law requires us to tell you this plainly, and we just have. If you would rather not have your information handled that way, tell us before you sign up and we will talk about what is possible.

10. How long we keep it

  • Quiz leads who never become clients: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete, and we clear stale records periodically.
  • Clients: for the duration of your program, and afterwards as long as we need it to support a Rescue Cycle or a return.
  • Financial records: for the period Canadian tax law requires.

When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

11. How we protect it

Access is limited to Will and, where one is engaged, an assistant bound to confidentiality. Accounts use strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication where the provider offers it. Payment card data never touches our systems.

No system is perfect. We do not pretend otherwise. What we do promise is that we do not hold what we do not need.

12. If there is a breach

If a breach of our security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires, and we will keep a record of it.

13. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • give you a copy of it;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

Email redsealrescuecoaching@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days, at no cost.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

14. Cookies

This website uses cookies to make it work and to give us basic visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may then not work properly.

15. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell clients directly rather than quietly editing the page.
